Will banks accept these invoices?
Yes. Invoices use a clean, standard layout with the fields banks expect. The QR code links to a verification page that lets anyone confirm the document is genuine.
What does the QR code actually prove?
Scanning the code opens a public page that matches the invoice to the record Kweza issued: number, client, line items and totals. If the document was edited after issue, the match fails.
Which currencies and VAT rates are supported?
Kweza applies each country’s statutory VAT automatically: 17.5% in Malawi, 16% in Zambia and Kenya, 15.5% in Zimbabwe, and 14% in Botswana, billing in the local currency (MWK, ZMW, ZWG, BWP or KES). Exports are zero-rated automatically.
Do I need an accountant to use Kweza?
No. Kweza is built so you can invoice on your own. VAT, numbering and totals are handled for you, and the Reports module shows your sales, VAT and client insights without a spreadsheet.
How many invoices can I create?
There is no limit on the free plan. Create as many invoices, quotations and instalments as your business needs during beta.
Does it need internet to work?
Yes. You need a connection to sign in, create invoices, and save them to your account. Your records stay synced across your devices, and the QR verification link stays live for anyone you share it with.
